About Us

The Iowa Sexual Abuse Hotline (ISAH) provides free, confidential, trauma-informed service for people in Iowa affected by sexual violence.

Resiliency  •  Inclusivity  •  Perseverance  •  Courage  •  Service

Funded by Crime Victim Assistance Division and hosted by RVAP since April of 1999, the Iowa Sexual Abuse Hotline (ISAH) provides 24-hour phone counseling, support, information & referrals to anyone affected by sexual violence directly or indirectly. The ISAH was established as a resource for persons who experience barriers and/or conflict of interest when accessing services. Persons who call the ISAH will be offered info to connect with services in their local areas and communities.

Due to recent state wide restructuring of victim services, the ISAH has expanded and now provides roll-over services in a non-emergency contingency. In brief the ISAH will answers crisis lines for other sexual assault centers during non-business hours, weekends and holidays.
